Getting to Liverpool
Liverpool can be accessed via Manchester or Liverpool airports although Manchester has many more routes. You can connect from South Africa via Heathrow, Paris or Amsterdam to Manchester but getting into Liverpool Airport is a lot trickier.

Travelling Outside the City
There are plenty of great beaches near Liverpool with Formby being one of the best. It has rolling sand dunes, a nature reserve and golden sand that sweeps down to the sea. For some ancient history take the M53 south to see Roman Chester and shop in the Rows, the historic galleried retail area.
