How do I get to Dubai?
Fly from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport with Emirates or use the same airline from Durban or Cape Town. Once you’re there, the journey into the city centre is really easy as the airport is only a mile away along the airport road.

Getting Around Dubai
Three roads run parallel to each other in Dubai; the E111 is the coast road; the E311 is a little further inland and the E611 is on the desert side of the city. Minor roads off this take you to different locations in the city.

Getting out of Dubai
It’s almost all desert around the city so if you’re heading southeast, expect lots of sand on a dramatic road. Following the E111 northeast you come to Sharjah and southwest you come to Abu Dhabi, both similar cities.
