How do I get to Melbourne?
There are no direct flights from South Africa to Melbourne despite it being Australia’s second biggest city. The airport is to the north of the city centre and the 14 mile journey is best done via the Citylink Tollway.

Getting Around Melbourne
The Western Ring Road and the M3 form a broken circular route around the city which is a good focal point for accessing the centre. If you get lost, just head for it and you’ll soon find your bearings.

Out of Melbourne

• St Kilda. This is a very genteel part of the city and is where many of the people of Melbourne go for a day out. Little changed since Victorian times, it’s a complete contrast to the modern city.
