Getting to Los Angeles
There are no direct flights from South Africa so you’ll need to make a connecting flight. That opens up the opportunity to do a stopover in some of the world’s great cities such as London, Paris or Amsterdam or connect via American cities such as Atlanta. Take route 105 then head north on 110 to get into the centre of the city from the airport.

Getting Around Los Angeles
Interstate 5 is the main road that passes through the city running north/south but one of the best ways to escape is to take the Pacific coastal road; the 101 north to Santa Barbara, San Jose and on to San Francisco. In the city, the main roads are a jumble so follow the signs carefully.

Places to See Outside Los Angeles
San Diego is two hours south of Los Angeles and famous for its sea life centre and zoo. Just over four hours east will take you to Las Vegas, the glitziest city on earth.
