How do I get to Atlanta?
Delta Airlines have a direct flight from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport or travellers wishing to spend some time in London en route can connect via Heathrow. Travelling Around Atlanta
Atlanta has a ring road; Route 285, which is very useful for accessing the interstates that will take you elsewhere. Route 20 takes you off the 285 west to Birmingham Alabama and east to Augusta whilst route 75 takes you northwest to Chattanooga.

Outside Atlanta
Easy day trips can take you to Marietta where you can visit the Gone With the Wind Museum or to the historic city of Savannah. Stone Mountain is thirty miles east and a popular tourist destination with a cable car up to the top of the mountain.
